Developer: George Wimpey Bristol Architect: George Wimpey Bristol Drylining Contractor: MJ Stevens, Exeter Knauf Drywall systems were specified on this project to provide a contemporary interior within a traditional thatched home. The use of Knauf Drywall materials provided a lightweight partition offering excellence in terms of acoustic, thermal and impact performance. The Knauf Drywall system was specified in place of more traditional finishes due to significant savings in build time.

The value of the project carried out in Ilminster, Somerset was £9 million which included 34 houses which were a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed thatched developments. The Knauf products that were used were Knauf 50mm C stud, Knauf 52 mm U channel, Knauf Standard Wallboard 2400 x 1200 x 12.5 TE, Knauf Joint Filler and Knauf Joint Cement Super Smooth.
