Knauf Drywall is the best on the books...

Knauf Drywall has scooped the construction industry’s highest award for the quality of its technical literature: taking the trophy for Best Use of Technical Literature at the Construction Marketing Awards 2010.

The company’s Complete Drywall Manual was praised as “clear, comprehensive and easily accessible, combining product information with details of relevant legislation and regulation”. And the judges, from the top drawer of construction marketers, were especially impressed that it is available as both hard copy and as an online document – a feature that “is clearly being well received by the target audience”.  

Other positive comments about the manual included that it was:
  • “Well prepared with clear business and marketing objectives”;
  • “Well researched and targeted”; and
  • “Well thought out with good monitoring of results”.

This 344-page free ‘bible’ for drywall specifiers combines technical drawings, step-by-step installation guides and specification details into one easily understood, definitive manual. It guides users to optimal solutions for all applications, with special focus on key sectors such as housing and other residential buildings, schools, hospitals and commercial buildings.


The manual not only demonstrates Knauf Drywall’s commitment to customer service, but also to employing digital technology to improve accessibility and sustainability – viewing the manual online saves both ink and trees and means one less document to carry.

The awards were presented at a black tie event at the Waldorf Hotel in central London.
