Construction company scoops training award

2008-11-17
A construction company in Preston has scooped a national award for the effective training methods it provides to support its staff and in turn benefit the company.

Presenter of the channel four show Grand Designs Trade Secrets, Naomi Clever, was on hand to present the national Award for Investment in Workforce Training and Development to Conlon Construction.

The award was handed out as part of the Master Builder of the Year Awards, with Conlon the first to collect this new honour, introduced for the first time this year by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB).

Speaking at the awards, the FMB's director general Richard Diment said: "These awards are an opportunity to showcase projects from small to large from around the country that would otherwise be overlooked.

"It is a pleasure to reward Conlon Construction for the investment it has made and continues to make in its workforce training, which is obviously helping the business to be more robust and in the best shape possible to survive and thrive."

Conlon Construction undertakes construction projects in both the public sector and to support private clients.ADNFCR-8000206-ID-18880383-ADNFCR
